As previously reported by the STA, wide base tires can now be used at par weights with duals on the national highway system. Until the regulations are amended permits

(free of cost) are still required. Please contact the STA to secure a permit. STA confirmed in meetings with Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure this week that the goal is to have the regulation amended by April 2019.
