Alberta Motor Transport Association
The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA), in partnership with Samsara™, has announced a new scholarship opportunity aimed at strengthening safety and compliance leadership within the commercial transportation industry.
Recognizing the critical role that knowledgeable and ethical safety professionals play in improving road safety, Samsara™ will fund four scholarships in 2026 covering the full cost of AMTA’s Certified Transportation Safety Professional (CTSP) designation. The scholarship supports professionals who demonstrate commitment to excellence in safety and compliance and meet program eligibility requirements.
The CTSP designation consists of eight required courses designed to equip industry professionals with advanced knowledge in transportation safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Applicants must: Be employed by an AMTA Carrier/Subsidiary Member or Associate Carrier; Not be currently enrolled in, or actively working toward an AMTA designation program; Meet the CTSP program’s three-year industry experience requirement, and fully complete the CTSP program application process.
The application process consists of two stages. First, AMTA’s Education team will review all submissions received. Due to limited availability, only the first 25 complete applications that meet eligibility criteria will be shortlisted. Then, shortlisted candidates will be invited to proceed with completing a video submission.
Each scholarship recipient will receive a complimentary invitation to attend the AMTA Annual Awards Gala on April 23, 2026, in Calgary, Alberta, where recipients will be formally recognized on stage.
AMTA and Samsara™ share a commitment to advancing safety, compliance, and professionalism across the commercial transportation industry. This scholarship initiative represents a continued investment in the people who help keep Canadian roads safe.
