pleased with Provincial budget Biodiesel announcement

The announcement of both a Biodiesel mandate and a production incentive program for Saskatchewan producers of Biodiesel is applauded by Milligan Bio-Tech Inc. of Foam Lake, Sask. as a positive step in support of the Saskatchewan Bio-fuels industry. In response to the budget details, the President & CEO of MBTI, Joe Holash offered the following statement.

"MBTI is certainly pleased with the provincial government's announcement of the mandate and the production incentives. All of the Western provinces will now have mandates in place and this provides the right framework for companies like Milligan to compete and grow. The rebates are consistent with those being provided in the other western Canadian provinces as well as the Northern United States where most of MBTIs competition comes from. This provincial mandate along with the recent Federal Governments Bio-Fuels announcement helps to ensure that alternative energy programs and opportunities are shared initiatives across the country. The residents of Saskatchewan should feel good about their government's decision to participate in the efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Canada."

Milligan Bio-Tech Inc. is a privately held company with its main operations in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. The facility officially opened in June 2009 and has steadily grown its customer base for bio-diesel and allied products. Through ingenuity and advanced research and development, the company now offers co-products such as Diesel Fuel Conditioner, Penetrating Oil, Road Dust Suppressant, Rust Inhibitor, and an Asphalt Release Agent; all created from non-food grade canola seed. Bio-diesel is currently sold into western Canadian markets. Milligan's other products are sold throughout Canada both directly through Authorized Dealerships and through their Distributor network.
